google wave has been a pretty interesting experience so far, but the weird scrolling system they have set up is really annoying
it keeps shooting past whatever i want to look at, anyone else find this bothering?

Yes, in fact, it was my least favorite thing about Google Wave. Stick with the normal scroller Google, they're known for being simple, not weird.

makes you wonder if google meant for it to serve some unique purpose. we'll see how it goes

I don't think there is any special, innovative feature. Just a unique scrollbar.
